A Neighborhood Reimagined: The PlayStreets Festival

In the heart of Fresno’s Jackson Neighborhood, an ordinary street transformed into a canvas of joy, laughter, and community connection. Thanks to the vision of our residents and the Jackson Neighborhood Association, including the support of Councilmembers Luis Chavez and Nelson Esparza, the PlayStreets festival was born.

As the neighborhood streets became car-free, excitement filled the air. Kids on bikes zoomed by, cheered on by proud parents. Laughter echoed from the dunk tank, and the raffle drew everyone together in a mix of anticipation and happiness.

As the day ended, our neighborhood grew closer, united by the joy of play and a renewed commitment to street safety, especially around our school, fostering hope for lasting positive changes in our community.
